Physical scrub actually can do more harm than good on your skin. Let alone, if you are abusing them by using too much. If you are not using any form of exfoliants such as acids and retinol, you only need to use physical scrub once a week to get rid of the dead skin cell.

Use a scrub that is environmentally friendly and natural, so that you won’t clog your drain and pollute our ocean with microbeads plastic.

Opt for rice grain, coffee ground, and fine sugar. There’s also fruits seed scrub, but seeds ground can be too harsh on your skin and can cause microtear that will lead to bacteria crawling into your skin easier, thus causing acne.

If you want to play safe, use Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid instead. Start with low that is mild enough for acne-prone skin and will not cause stinging and inflammation.

Acids not only is a good form of exfoliant, but it is also a master of acne slayer and super in controlling oil production. Give it a try, but you might also like it!
